Our Mission

To preserve, promote, and perpetuate the American musical art form known as jazz by presenting performances, creating educational programs concerning jazz and its history, and serving as an advocate by continuing efforts to raise awareness of this vibrant, ever-changing art form.

To sponsor workshops, training sessions, symposia, performances, installations, lectures and other cultural and educational endeavors.

To conduct any and all activities as necessary, appropriate or proper in connection with or incidental to any of the foregoing and as are lawful for a not-for-profit corporation.

To conduct activities which are exclusively charitable within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.

To foster, promote and advance greater knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the arts.

To encourage the creation, development and presentation of, and participation in, artistic activities and works and to disseminate such works through various means and venues.

To develop innovative and meaningful educational materials and to present these materials to the public.
